Mr. Williams is co-founder of Denali Properties and has over 12 years of industry experience involving transactions in excess of $2 billion. He also serves as an adjunct professor of real estate at the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University.

Adam Williams

Mr. Williams is co-founder of Denali Properties and has over 12 years of industry experience involving transactions in excess of $2 billion.  He also serves as an adjunct professor of real estate at the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University.
Prior to co-founding Denali, Mr. Williams served as Chief Investment Officer at Centennial Real Estate Company where he focused on sourcing, underwriting and capitalizing acquisition opportunities, including Centennial’s $1.1 billion acquisition of five regional malls from Westfield Corporation.
Before joining Centennial, Mr. Williams served as Vice President and Director of Investments at Trademark Property Company. At Trademark, Mr. Williams was responsible for various aspects of the company’s investment and capital markets activities, including the acquisition and redevelopment of Padre Staples Mall, a 1 million square foot regional mall anchored by Macy’s, Dillard’s, and JC Penney. Mr. Williams began his career in the legal profession at the Dallas office of Kane Russell Coleman & Logan, PC, where he managed debt transactions and related litigation for bank clients (such as Wachovia Bank and BBVA Compass) and for distressed debt funds.
Mr. Williams holds an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin, a JD from Southern Methodist University and a BA from the University of Arkansas. He is a licensed lawyer (inactive) and licensed real estate broker in Texas.  He has also published articles on finance and investment in leading industry periodicals, including The Institutional Real Estate Letter and ULI’s Urban Land magazine.  In addition, he regularly speaks at industry conferences, including Morgan Stanley’s annual REIT conference and the annual ICSC Capital Markets forecast.
